Issue: How has the religious ideals of the United States Government Affected the wars we have
fought, and how has this changed over the years.
Hypothesis: Religion has given the states reasons to fight through morals derived from religion,
and with the changing morals, the wars themselves have changed.

still a bit too general. A study of religious motivation or policy setting as it evolves through the course of US military history, though an intriguing ambition, would be a book-length study at best.
With only 3-5 pages of space to work with, I think you need to significantly reduce the scope of your project. I imagine you're probably finding sources which surround the War in Iraq. It seems obvioius you'll want to begin this narrowing of focus by centring your analysis on Iraq alone (or if not Iraq, than ONE other military event). You might also want to be more specific with the EFFECTS or POLICIES you have in mind as concerns religious motivation for war and war policy (international relations, economy, etc.)
